Our Latest Project – Updating Kilgour’s Library Collection!

We're excited to announce that the Foundation has committed $25,000 to update Kilgour's library collection!  Would you believe that the library still had books from the 1960’s?  With this investment, Kilgour will be able to update approximately 25% of its collection, which means a lot of new literary adventures await our Kilgour students!  Mr. O the Librarian has been diligently working on cleaning out the old books to make room for the new.  Stay tuned for pictures of the new library collection and Kilgour’s happy readers.

Ninja Course Play Area:

In 2023, the foundation undertook a $100,000 transformation of Kilgour's out-of-date Kindergarten playground to a new ninja course area.  The students have loved having more challenging equipment that accommodates a wide range of skillsets.

Updated Community Play Space

In partnership with Kilgour Sports Boosters and the PTA, the Kilgour Foundation raised $290,000 to convert Kilgour’s athletic field from grass to turf & to replace the large playground which was out of date. This project was completed in 2020 and enables our students & the community to play all year round with no mud!

Have an idea for our next project?

As the 24/25 school year kicks off in August, the Kilgour Foundation will be holding a Vision Night to dream, gather ideas, and collect feedback from Kilgour parents, staff & neighbors from the surrounding community to determine the focus of our next large investment project.  Building on the success of the community field & playground, our goal is to commit to another project that will have a profound and lasting impact on both Kilgour and the surrounding Hyde Park / Mt. Lookout community.
